Courtney is a model that works at the Palette & Chisel lately. She’s a delightful model and is solid as stone when she does her long poses. The pastel painting was executed on March 24th, 2012 at a open figure session, and it is of Courtney reclined on white and violet sheets. The folds in the cloth on which she lies on are rendered very loose and lively. The contrast between the white and violet cloth cuts the composition in a dramatic, angular way, and the focus of the composition, Courtney’s lying body, is towards the top which adds to the drama.

The original piece is 16 inches by 20 inches and is framed under glass in a simple antique silver frame. The prints do not come framed.
